- What do I need to provide in order to rent a space?
Bring a copy of your government issued photo ID (example: driver’s license, state ID, or passport). If you’re storing a vehicle, please bring in a copy of your registration and insurance.
- What does it cost to move in?
Every guest pays a one-time setup fee of $25 at move-in. This includes a disc style premium lock for your room, gate access, and all the other great amenities while being a guest at Quality Care Storage.
Other move-in charges include rent, tax, boxes or moving supplies you might need and insurance.
- Do I need insurance?
If it’s important enough to store, it’s important enough to insure! Our rental agreement asks that all guests have insurance on their belongings for your own protection. We offer storage specific insurance policies that start at just $9.00 a month for $2,000 coverage. It’s month to month like your rental agreement and can be cancelled or added at any time. - How do I make a payment?
It’s easy! Most of our guests enjoy the convenience of Autopay. You can set up automatic payment with a credit card, debit card, or ACH from your bank account. We also accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards. You can pay online too! Rent is due on the first of the month. Example: May rent is due on May 1st.
- Do I need to sign a long-term lease?
Our rental agreement is month-to month. One month is the minimum stay.
We only rent rooms by the full calendar month, not by the day or by the week. Everyone’s rent is due on the first. For the best value, we recommend planning your move-out towards the end of the month. The only one time you will ever pay by the day is when you move in mid-month.
Example: If you rent a room on April 21, you will pay for the remaining 9 days of April plus your monthly room rate for May. Your next payment will be due on June 1 for June rent.
- How do I move out?
Let us know as soon as you know your move-out day. (We accept notice by phone, in person, or email) We ask for 10 days notice but understand that may not always be possible. The most important things to remember when you move out:
- Make sure your account is current.
- Remove your lock and take it with you.
- Leave nothing behind (including trash to avoid a cleaning fee).
If your lock is on your door on the first, we assume you’re occupying the room for the whole month and rent is charged to your account. Please don’t forget to remove your lock.
- Does there have to be someone in the office to let me through the gate?
Each guest has a unique access code and the gate will open automatically when you enter it at the keypad. Most of our exits automatically open as you approach slowly in your vehicle.
Gate access hours are 6am-10pm every day. If you are interested in 24-hour access rights, please contact us for information.
- Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?
Plants, animals, food items, firearms and ammunition, explosives, hazardous materials and waste, and items that aren’t yours are the primary categories of items that we cannot store. Please refer to the rental agreement for our policies. Living or sleeping in a storage room is prohibited.
- Do you do vehicle and boat storage?
We have a variety of large storage rooms that are perfect for vehicle and small boat storage. We offer drive-up temperature controlled options as well as standard drive-up options without temperature control. Please bring copies of your registration and insurance with you to your appointment when setting up storage for your vehicle. Your vehicle must be in running condition. All of our storage has to be inside a storage room. We’re unable to accommodate any storage of vehicles, RVs, or boats outside.
